◎Guiding principles

Guided by a Textiles and Clothing Department interpretation perspective of the ideals of our University and the mission of our College, and mindful of the principle of holistic education expressed in terms of the three kinds of great learning, our faculty cooperatively developed a carefully planned and purposefully designed curriculum for each of the three Sections within the Department.

Experts from industry, experienced alumni, and educators from related universities abroad were invited as consultants to develop the best possible expression of holistic textiles and clothing education in response to local and international developments in the fashion industry.

The implementation of these annual goals is the shared responsibility of the faculty as they design thcourse content, method and educational objectives. Their implementation also is important in the planning of departmental and students’ projects and extra-curricular activities.

◎Degrees awarded

A minimum of 128 credits is required for obtaining a bachelor’s degree in Textiles and Clothing:BS Textile Design, BS Fashion Design, or BS Textile and Fashion Marketing.
