The Graduate Institute of Textiles and Clothing at Fu Jen Catholic University was established in 1990 as the first of its kind in Taiwan. It rests upon the broad foundation of a well-developed undergraduate program established in 1970, which comprises three inter-related Sections:
(1) Textiles and Fashion Marketing (2)Textile Science and Technology
In 1997 the foundation basis for the Master’s degree program at Fu Jen has been broadened to an even greater degree. Graduate Institute designed two specialized Sections to meet present and future needs for leadership personnel in the fashion industry. The two Sections are (1) Textile/ Fashion Design and Culture Studies (T/F-DC), (2) Textile/ Fashion Business and Consumer Studies (T/F-BC).
